Somehow, at the end of the song, he really didn't learn from anything from excessive partying. Couldn't get the words growing up, but the driving music, along with the quality of the vocal singing, made this song immensely pleasing. Reading the words as I listen to the song now is nice and very revealing.

This is some heavy jazz in the phrasing. What riddum he got in his voice.Amazing! Wow that Mickey Dolenz had some chops!

It's really a cool, jazz flavored song. Bill Chase plays the high note trumpet solo (another high note player, Bud Brisbois plays the lead in the band....but Chase takes the solo). It's Plas Johnson on tenor saxophone. Better known as the sax solo on the Pink Panther main theme.
